Many of you may not know that Poom once had origami ( folding paper into shapes or statues ) as his hobby. After he left Singapore, I no longer have to share computer and stuffs with him, thus I was kind of computer games addicted and wasted most of life on them xD
My everday life went in this cycle bathe, eat, go school, play games, eat, bathe, play games and finally sleep. After realising how " no life " I was, I decided to do something more meaningful, more worth of the time spent instead of playing games and that was when I found a book Poom bought years ago.
This is how it looks....

So yeah, I decided to give it a try and made a wonderful buttonhole flower out of just 2 small pieces of coloured paper. Althought it was just a small achievement, I was content.

Beautiful, isn't it? xD

And this is a chicken not a FROG, someone thought it was one....
As I was thinking if I should take this up as my hobby and continue Poom's legacy, I realised that origami give you more benefits than you expected.
These are the benefits which I have listed out :
1. Does not take up a lot of your time
2. Can impress anyone with your origami pieces
3. Can woo girls ( a huge benefit for boys xD )
4. Can use as a decoration
5. It is not an expensive hobby
6. Can save you money instead of buying gifts outside, you can actually make them yourself
7. You actually feel calm and peaceful when you do origami just like meditating
I am sure these are more than enough benefits for you to take origami up as a hobby. Any enquiries, you can always come and look for me in school :] Although, I am not an expert just yet, I will try to help as much as possible hehe.
The book mentioned above can be bought from either Times or Popular ( can't remember which ) if you are interested.
