Many of you might have heard of this piece of news, but some of you who did not, on the 22nd July a total solar eclipse will occur. This total eclipse will be the longest one for the 21st century, but it is only visible to some countries in Asia and the Pacific Ocean. Some of the countries are:
(taken from wikipedia, read more from wikipedia here)
nothern Maldives
northern India
eastern Nepal
northern Bangladesh
Bhutan
the northern tip of Myanmar
central China
the Pacific Ocean, including the Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati.
For Australians in Australia, we will not be able to catch any of the eclipse so there are tours specially organised for the longest Eclipse-watching of the century.
For myths regarding tomorrow's total solar Eclipse, some say that..there will be tsunamis happening along the path of the eclipse. This is the follow-up post about the tsunami myth mentioned by one of my authors earlier today, and some of the other ones can be read on Urbanlegends.com, Forsakengel.com, hotkilix.com and many other places.
Started from a startling post, foward mails were sent everywhere on the internet. Everyone was kind of shocked to hear this, but snopes.com says otherwise. I can't ctrl-c texts from snopes.com so go there and have a read.
In conclusion, the scientists said that the tsunami will not happen so I guess that that's good news. Thats it for today's post, hope you enjoyed it, c u
